One of DJ Mag’s esteemed Top 100 clubs, The Warehouse in Leeds has now re-established itself as one of the city’s leading venues. The line-ups so far have been varied, the promotions include quality nights like Filth, Speed Queen, Back to Basics and Sequence, and the recent 33rd birthday with Frankie Knuckles was something special indeed. In the coming weeks there will be sets from Art Department, Grandmaster Flash, Claude Von Stroke, Shonky and BingoPlayers, however, there is much more of the same on the way, chiefly a new room…
This new 250 capacity garage space has a Funktion One sound system like the rest of the club, hasbeen stripped back to its original brick walls and, as well as providing anextra room for the big events, will also double up as a smaller more intimate place for cozier gatherings. Add this to the large cauldron like main room, tidy Loft space and large outdoor area and the club’s capacity now sits at 1, 000, big enough for plenty of atmosphere but not so large as to lose that all important connection between DJ and clubber. As such, it’s not hard to see why The Warehouse in Leeds is so hot right now.
To celebrate these new additions, legendary house night Hard Times is returning for special Bank Holiday parties, the first of which will be headlined by David Morales on June 3rd, with a 20th Anniversary party following later in August.
As well as this, 6 parties over the course of the summer will showcase one DJ and have them play all night long. If you didn’t already check out the new era Warehouse, there was never a better time than now…
