Play It Down returns to the top floor of the Slemish Bar on Friday 22 June for what is set to be their biggest night so far. The fact that this night grows with each passing month is testament that quality music will still get punters through the door. The solid roster of residents supply have done a sterling job of bringing the best underground house music to Ballymena without alienating the average clubber. Partner that with an intimate venue and a reasonable door tax and you can see why the social media sites are buzzing with talk of Play It Down. Add some exciting and fresh guest DJs to the mix and there is no reason why this new venture can’t establish itself for the long term.

Pumped Audio’s very own LOCODRUM are on guest duties this month and will bring their trademark sound to rock the venue to it’s very core. Here is a little insight into what the guys are all about…..

LOCODRUM is a war cry, a revolution on behalf of the dancefloor. A meeting of two minds set on bringing back a bit of hedonism to the currently corporate scene. They do not feel bound by rules or restricted by trends set out and adhered to by others. They are a law unto themselves, confident they can destroy any crowd put before them. For they are the crowd, week in and week out, and will always continue their adventures forever more. There should be no divide between the DJ box and the crowd except for the structure itself, both are guests of honour at any party worth its salt and one cannot function without the other.

Both Liam and Dave have clearly left a piece of their soul on the dancefloor of DC10, you can hear it in their podcasts and you most certainly can feel it at their gigs! Cool yet kooky, Soulful yet dark, grinding but still emotive. The same manifesto is also being applied at LOCO TOWERS, home studio and think tank for their over active minds.
