NICK CURLY, STEVIE T, BILLY STOCK
Now fully back into the swing of things, The Warehouseoffers up one of tech houses finest proponents in German DJ, producer and label boss Nicky Curly, with support from Stevie T and Billy Stock.
Nick Curly, Cécile Records boss and man behind recent debut LP, Between the Lines – is a name that has defined the image of the global club scene over the last few years like no other. As the driving force behind the so-called “Sound of Mannheim”, Curly was long considered the rising star of the international house scene. That is a status he has long since left behind him. Having arrived at the top of the international DJ elite, the world-famous Ibizan club “Space” even recently honored him with a residency – a distinction that is otherwise reserved for genre greats such as Carl Cox and Armin van Buuren.
FILTHY RICH, MARK STORIE, THE FOX, PETE WAIDSON, ANDY GRAHAM
Expect noting but the finest house to pour from the brand new Warehouse sound system tonight, with Filthy Rich, Mark Storie, The Fox,Pete Waidson and more all headlining.
As a talented Producer/DJ Filthy Rich’s innovative sound has made him undeniably one of the country’s finest DJs today. A promising figure looming out from the crowd, Rich is the complete package. Effortlessly leaving his contemporaries behind, he leaps and bounds into a league of his own laughing to himself as he does it. This is because Rich knows the secret togetting this far – is playing music that he loves, for people to dance to. Toolroom Records stalwart Mark Storie also plays.
KINKY MALINKI, ATFC, SOUL AVENGERZ, BILL GILL, GRANT NALDER
Supreme house brand Kinky Malinki take over tonight, with ATFC, Soul Avengerz and more all playing.
ATFC’s picture hangs in the House Music Hall of Fame. OK, so it’s on a rusty nail in the toilet under the stairs at the end of the hall, but the point is that it’s there; a proud testament to one man’s ability to both devastate dance-floors with his explosive, peak-time sets and deliver sickeningly slick productions at an awe-inspiring rate.
Meanwhile, Soul Avengerz have been rocking clubs together for years with their uplifting house sound, with able support coming from Bill Gill and Grant Nalder.
LEE FOSS, PROJECT FM
Tonight one of the hottest house DJs and producers of the day plays his Warehouse debut… Lee Foss.
Lee Foss and Jamie Jones’ label, Hot Creations, has been at the forefront of a new musical movement. No one had put slow, sexy, disco infused, 80s slanted house with creamy r&b vocals and expected it to work before – but it does. The label’s has released some of the biggest tracks of recent years, often from Foss who plays tonight as he does at WMC, in Ibiza, Sonar, everywhere on a regular basis. There are few more in demand DJs out there than this one. Project FM also plays.
GRANT NELSON, SOUL AVENGERZ, MICHAEL GREEN, SCOTT COSTA
Grant Nelson, Soul Avengerz, Michale Green and Scott Costa line-up tonight for a house party with garage flavours.
Nelson is heralded as the Godfather of UK Garage due to his numerous club hits on his Nice ‘n’ Ripe label in the early 90′s. It was hissound along with a few others that gave birth to the then known as ‘Sunday Scene’ which went on to become UK Garage. Nelson has always remained a house head since his early Nice ‘n’ Ripe days and continues to do so to the present with his excellent Swing City label that consistently delivers top drawer house music.
